"A painter for fifteen years now, I wish to share my work with new audiences. Thanks to reproduction, I see an infinite number of new possibilities opening up before me. By creating a project that is both human-scale and global, representing all the countries of the world in a striking unity, I wanted to create a work that celebrates others and speaks to our need for recognition. So that we can serenely project ourselves into the world of tomorrow. Together!"

A UNIQUE JOURNEY
A self-taught artist, Thomas Bertrand discovered painting at a very young age and was noticed at 24 by the Sèvres porcelain factory, where he presented his first vase, entirely decorated in gold. At the same time, he was spotted by the designer agnès b. , who became his first supporter and collected his works for several years, thus beginning an artistic path outside the traditional art world.
From 2013 to 2018, he created unique pieces of exceptional quality, some requiring over 500 hours of work. Some of his creations have been exhibited at the Grand Palais in Paris, others acquired by private collections in Europe and the United States.
His visual identity is forged in a patient and singular gesture: for nearly fifteen years, he has been drawing countless small circles freehand with a pen, an obsessive and poetic motif that runs through all his work. This sign, both intimate and universal, becomes the guiding thread of his research, between symbolism, meditation, and the celebration of beauty.
In 2019, he decided to return to Normandy to find renewed inspiration and develop a project that would allow him to share his art more widely through reproduction. It was in Noirmoutier, where his exhibitions were very successful, that the idea of representing all the countries of the world on ceramics took root.
This is how Thomas Bertrand Paris was born: an unprecedented project which, between 2019 and 2025, saw the creation of more than 250 original hand-painted works, also available as reproductions to share this journey on a personal scale.
A pivotal moment occurred in 2024: a map of France in gold, created by the artist and produced as a t-shirt by agnès b. , was worn by Thomas Jolly , artistic director of the Olympic Games, during the four ceremonies. Broadcast to tens of millions of viewers, this image cemented the symbolic power of his work.
Selected among the best craftsmen of Normandy, invited to the World Tourism Fair in Paris, initiator of an Olympic project bringing together more than 185 athletes and of a first museum exhibition in 2024, Thomas Bertrand exhibits in 2025 in Noirmoutier, the entirety of the world's originals, on the island of his great-grandparents.
Today, his work, at the crossroads of art, travel, and universal themes, celebrates human dignity and the fraternal spirit that unites peoples. His ambition is to create a collection of original artworks from every country in the world, and to reproduce them on various media—ceramics, t-shirts, objects—in order to share beauty with as many people as possible, reminding everyone that every place, every origin, has its place in the unity of the world.
